My mates got problems with his saxo vts. On idle sometimes the revs drop the pick up again then drop and pick up again and sometimes drops so far it cuts out and stalls at junctions.
ALso its making clonking noises from the underneath of the car which i think is the cat on its way out so hes going to powerflow to get a full system.
Ok guys and gals dont give me abuse for asking about a saxo on here im just tryingto help a mate out thats all and i know you all think its a crap car etc.

my saxo as idled for the past 6 months like that. it goes crazy and gets up2 about 4krevs when ur jst stopped. and sometimes it will stall.
i aint been arsed to fix it, so im jst hoping when a buyer comes to view he wont notice

Yeah it is a bit strange, i was thinking the ecu?
It never rises in revs just falls then picks back up then falls and sometimes stalls.

first sounds like idle control valve... (if they have one) have similar things with the corsa...
second knocking noise sounds like the exhaust has come off it's hangers just around the silencer / cat (underneathe center section bit) - I've got the same with my car atm...
