stil cannot get on messenger

i am using windows messenger but u dont get any of the extras

iv deleted msn messenger to allow me on2 windows messenger .

but what wud happen if i removed the windows messenger programme? would that allow me to get back onto msn messenger

and if it doesnt where can i reinstall windows messenger from?

messenger.msn.com what version of windows you got?

ye i no its workin its just my pc

has been like this since we had norton anti virus programme installed

says to check my net connection tho i am online

i can download msn messenger but it says theres an error that im not connected to the net.. iv been told its cos i have windows messenger installed as well and u cant have the 2 at same time

You can have both installed on pc at same time - but not both running.

Norton might have made some changes to what traffic can and cant get through. But wouldnt have thought an AntiVirus proggie would do that.

If you still have Norton CD's, try uninstalling it, running messenger, if it works its ya virus proggie, if not, its summat else. lemme know tho.
