painted my slam panel matt black.........cos it was a mess beforehand
but only til i get the new one put on

i didnt want to incase it looked crap, and u cant see the rust bubbles with black paint

hammerite actually seals rust and prevents it, its designed to be painted directly on top of rust, so no need to get rid before hand
