Going for a test drive on a 98R fiat coupe 20v turbo at the weekend
I was going for a mr2 turbo but cant be arsed to wait ages for a decent one

Whats the thoughts on these, they are 220 bhp i think and pretty rapid, leather seats, air con and look cool

ive driven the 20 v non turbo n that was quick but from what ive heard the turbo version is ace.

My mate says they got a bad rep for breaking down

Had a quick look on some fiat forums but there aint that much info

Engine out job to replace the cambelt I believe.

Faster than a Scooby 50-100

the timing belt is expensicve, so try to get one thats already had it done. but other than that I love these cars, they looks sexy and sound amazing! People say theyre only quick top end, but its just that theyre really quick top end and just quick bottom end lol. Get one, you wont be disapointed!

I was well tempted by one, chassis just about copes with power, you`re reaching the limit for a FWD car with one of those. Powerful brembo brakes, and definately rapid but questionable reliability and styling is dated for me, although ive seen a few kitted ones that look mental.

Yep, ditto clutch etc

Also I thinkthey need an engine rebuild around 70k

BUT Owen Developments (work next to them) have two pushing well over 300bhp

1.5k for cambelt at main dealer
ive been looking at them but too expensive for a poor student, really like them though go for it

just been looking and most places can do it with engine in plus it got changed 5000 miles ago anyway
