Looks nice, I quite like them little clios. We've got two black ones @ my house (my mums and my little sisters) they handle quite well and quite nippy for a 1.2. You get loadsa spec on them too like auto wipers/auto light/elec everthing/sunroof/cd/etc... Only think didn't really like was the gear box, one in my corsa c seem alot smoother.

yup, its true abput the plastic arches!!
But as si-reading says, you do get a fairly nice spec, auto lights wipers...seats are like recliners, plus its retrim in the same colour as the exterior...for a 1.4 16v its nippy. faster than the corsa and 206...defientely a great car just my opinion.

im thinking about getting one, but have never driven one...but loads of peeps at school recon there alright to drive, but the clutch is really high in them? and speed/acc isnt all that on them? had a quick battle up a carriageway with my mates 1.2 and my 1.2 shoppy trolley ate it for breaky, lunch and dinner, so they dont seem that nippy, but like i said i havnt driven one, so it might be a different story (different drivers etc)...although handling is suppose to be pretty good though

Also, whats the difference between the pre 2001 (?) and 2001 upward clios?

well mine is the 2003 spec so only a year old...it has a fairlt high b/point but u get used to it adn i feel its really smooth. 0-60 is something like 10.5 secs? but it picks up thru the gears, i had 80 out 3rd with 6000 rpm. its quicker than a peugeot. top speed is qbout 120 but im only guessing could be totally wrong. pre 2001 are not as strong but the renault engines are pretty strong in comparison to toehr cars of simialr spec.

im looking at a pre 2001 model, coz you can pick one up for about 2k-3k for a 1.2 so it aint to bad but, visually there isnt any differences is there apart from the lights? there the only things that i can see that are different

although the V6 or 3lt version would be nice although handling in the 3lt is suppose to be terrible for a rear engined car, but hey, must be fun
