Oh dear..... HIC wont be as cheap as they were before and wont be insuring young drivers on high powered cars.

Aparently they have a huge claim going through at the moment due to some guy totaling an escort cosworth in the south. So the underwriters are whacking up the price of renewals etc as they are worried about the costs of payouts..

Wank..........

indeed, but aparently the underwriters are getting worried about the costs of payouts. They insure lots of young drivers on powerful cars, people keep crashin em so they are paying out..

but anyway, i shouldn't be justifying them puttin their prices up
its gonna cost me more to insure the let.....pants

I spoke to Peter at HIC this morning and seemed pretty helpful and gave me an excellent quote on the X16XE with every indication of a good premium for a C20XE too.

Tried Greenlight and their underwriters wouldn't match HIC's quote.

I called them for a quote on my 2.2 coupe and they were bollocks. Cheapest they could do was £1800!

Had £860 from Halifax and they'll cover most of the mods.

Peter seemed to be in a discounting mood. Just for having magazine subscriptions and mentioning that I'd attended shows last year saved me £30.

It's illegal to lie about your age to get reduced premiums.

yep i rang HIC today got quoted £540 fully comp with protected ncb but £400 excess on policy , that is for a 2.0 corsa btw. i ain't paying £400 excess.
he told me it was because of the large claim by the cosworth drivers passenger ( half a mill he said).

flux's charged me £111 for the next 3 months until my policy runs out.
