Not bad actually. All depends how you drive etc.... wont be far off the SRi - maybe 5-10mpg less.
You wouldnt regret buying one. Just get a low miler.

Well, i had a L Plate GSi. It was totally standard but it had 90,000 on the clock. I had it less than a year and the head went porous, the valve lifters were sticking and the MAS was dodgy (that was because of the sub-standard mounting kit the K&N filters come with)
I payed 3500 for the car and didnt want to shell out the 1000+ to fix it so i cut my losses. I couldnt sell it for more than 1400 quid. Shame really because it was a lovely car.
Go for 50,000 if you can get it, the lower the better i spose though.
Ben.

i got my gsi with 85k on the M and i aint had no engin probs yet...........but i crashed it same day.........i was surprised at the power of it tbh, theres a lot of diff between an sri and a gsi- mines standard engine wise tho........but they really are worth the extra insurance etc, cos i know a sri is grp7 and a gsi is grp11, but petrol wise, i got 587miles outta £60 2days ago, bearin in mind i caned it (100ish) for abt 50mile at least.........go for it mate cos ul only regret it if u dont
