It finally broke. The old Corsa was doing 9200 rpm up the straight at Snetterton racetrack, when one of the con rods decided to come out and say hello. Then, to add insult to injury, the oil coming out of the 4" round hole in the front of the block, decided to catch fire on the exhaust. Good easter this turned out to be

It gave the marshals some excercise anyway. Apparantly the fire truck nearly caused an accident charging out the pits

Couldnt keep up with 30 grands worth of Civic Type R, running 230 brake anyway! Wasnt all that far behind though

Decided now. £4500 for whole lot. Car as it stands, spare rolling shell, 2 spare engines in bits, spare box and other stuff.

Such a shame to see it. Revett straights well long, would have been interested to see what top speed u were pulling at the end of the straight. Wouldn't you consider putting a redtop in it or is that against regulations?

Even if it is allowed, a standard engine in any class is not competitive.

2.0 16v red top with his throttle bodies on it would certainly perform pretty decently

Now taken the head off and its perfect, so is the piston. Just needs crank,block and rod. Got to be worth 4 1/2 k
