Right im 6'1 and 12 stone 4 lbs and slim. Ive got dumblels amounting to 9.2 kg each. Will I be wasting my time to build up my arms or should I go and buy something heavier. I havn't got room for proper weights so are the dumbells a waste of time ??

Cheers folks.

I've just come back from the gym

Just go to one mate and get a routine sorted. To build up you only need light weights but do them slow.Doing just dumbells will be ok for a while but you will need to do a lot more.

Try sitting in a chair and put your elbow inside your thigh will the bar of the bumbell gripped in hand not in your palm but were your knuckles are. Then slowly curl the weight so your arm drops straight and curl it back up to the top.Do this 5 times then stop half way so your arm is L shaped and curl your wrist to pump your forearm 5 times till you feel it burn, then curl your arm fully another 5 times.

Do this about 5 times with each arm every night before bed and you will see some results in about 2-3 months maybe.

Most people don't.I've been going the gym for 2 years and i'm only just seeing proper results.Mind you i run a lot and don't do major heavy weights.

If i were you i'd just do what i said and get a bench press and do that every night with about 50kg's on it.

Won't be long before you notice somthing that way.

Dumbells are fine, but don't just train your arms. You won't get very far with 9.2kgs.
Try and get to a gym
