my 1.2 8v corsa is SLOW my mates saxo 1.1 and mates 1.0 nova beat it easily. is this right???? engine is abit shagged but i would of thought mien would of been faster???

saxo 1.1's are fairly nippy for the engine size.
Nova 1.0 12v is 10 more bhp than your 1.2 8v and weighs less.

nova is 8v i think ull find and same bhp as a 1.2 8v, just a bit lighter

yes i even go whiped by a 1.0 3cyclinder micra a few weeks ago in my 1.2 8v.

Like wot makes it so bloody slow the engine is the right physical size it makes a nice noise

saxo desire is 60bhp from a 1.1 lump

pretty laughable considering vauxhalls 1.4 8valve engine only makes 60bhp.

saxo will have multi-point injection, and is twin cam if my memory serves me right.

Nah imk just talking from experience from my 1.2 8v - couldnt afford bigger engined car as my 1st car so i stuck some 17's on it - no theres abetter excuse if u get beat

11. 8v 60 bhp is the saxo.

They are quicker than other 60 bhp cars though inclusing the Micra 1.0 16v at 840kg is lighter, less torque though. K11 micra not new one.

Only car thats 1.1 I can think of that is less powerful but as quick as a Saxo is the Cinq sporting, but that has slower top end.

Excluding the Japanese micro turbo cars and the Charades.
