Good way of indicating how refined/fast/smooth/quiet the TD engines of today are getting! There even putting em into Cabriolets!
I saw one on the way to work this morn.......Silver A4 Cab with 2.5TDi badge on back! Needless to say, it was bloody swift!!

Slow? When compared to a 2.0 16v vtec'd 3dr hatch maybe.........but look at the insurance u pay, and the fuel consumtion u get........when u look at things like that, they are fast for what they are.

just looked on parkers:
2.5 TDI (163ps)
2d
2496/6 <- straight 6 i guess?
160bhp
140mph
9.6 to 60 *cough*
40mpg combine is excellent for 2.5 6cyl!
grp 15 insurance (dunno wot CTRs are?!?)
Gotta be at least 220+lb/trq. I bet that fucking flies after bout 40mph.

They've been doing the deisel a4 cabs since production started on the a4 cabs...
I think it's a daft idea tbh, if I was going to buy something like that it'd have to be a petrol version.

10sec to 60 did suprize me! but then again, it is 1600kg! Which is rather heavy.
Come on tho, 40-100 this thing will be decent!! Especially with the 6 speed box!
