I was taking my 1991 astra GTE for a spin today, and the engine light thing came on, and the car was a lot slower. After turning the car off and on again, it went away and the performance was back to normal, but this happened 3 times. Can you read the fault codes with the paperclip thing on these, or do i need to get it looked at before i stick the engine in my corsa this weekend? I wanna rolling road it too to make sure the engine is working fine. Any ideas what could have caused the light to come on?

this allways happens on my mums redtop cav. if u wiggle the battery connectors it will go away....weird really

do the test - post in help and they will send ya in the direction of how to do it and results
