Right had my Fully re-built motor installed since wednesday, been told to run it in for 500miles and not take it about 4000rpm to be safe, i have done this for 455 miles so only got 45 to go, gonna do an oil change and filter change at 500, BUT, surely ater this magical 500miles i carnt just start booting it around, its a C16XE with a potential 150BHP+ and a rev limit of 7500RPM, when would you say it was safe to start taking it up and around the limiter????
cheers

i been doing allot of driving over the last few days to get the running in period over, allot of the driving has had the revs at between 3+4000 and they have been held there due to the speed limits, 5th gear in a 60-70 is over 3000 is it a problem to have the revs in that range for a long period then
Trust me dude i want no more engine troubles taking it nice and easy
