my car has no power at all was at 2omph all the way home. it is soundin like a tank, think it may be a cylinder thats away?? any1 have any idea
and how much it cost in total to get a 1.6 16v put in?
please help cheers

sounds like you just killed the head gasket, get a compression test on the cylinders done, cheack for faulty spark plugs and also dont try drive it!

i warped the head doing that and it cost me 600 for a rebuild!

yes check the spark plugs mate.

also check oil cap.if its got white gunk on it its your head gasket.

was it raining?

thing is it started last weekend and has gradually got worse i have driven bout 70 miles since last weekend anyway was just on way home today it was bad

oil is fine. i was just out at it. was gonna put it up on the ramps but dosent have enough power. sounds as if all the noise is coming from the induction kit??

im going for running on 3 cylinders to, happened to my mums car and only needed new spark plug and there was a lot of exhaust and induction kit noise as you say

just had new plugs leads and rotor arm not that long ago so dont think it is that. all the noise seems to be from induction kit tho. had car running and pulled each spark plug out one at a time but all cylinders seemed to me as if they wer workin

took to garage today. running fine must be fuel problem. went to c mr alerdice and he told me it would be my cat. got it off tonite and he is right its fucked. need to get a new one in the mornin
