Well as my hopes of insuring a mini cooper or 172 are a no no! i wondered if anybody could give me ideas of a new car to buy:

Budget of 9,000
Insurance: no more than group 7
Has to be a 3 door

If anybody could give me a few ideas it would be greatly appreciated

i feel the same way towards the saxo i do not want one of those hehe....the 106 are quite nice...wot insurance group and what kinda power they have?

There quick; mines got cams de cat and induction kit. They have a v.good power 2 weight ratio and fun to drive. Think insurance is group 12

golf tdi 110, very very good cars, and easily chipable, or change the injecters and turbo and make it into the 150bhp version

i was thinking bout the 1.6 16v clio - good potential i reckon, nice cars as well 110bhp as standard..

i thought clio 16vs were 1.8?? and much higher group than 7

still a clio, only one i would want is a 172 cup

it's a step up in terms of engine, nut in car

i would go for something thats either

1: going to hold it's value, eg VW, BMW

2: something thats goint to appricate, eg mini cooper sport 500

i think ull struggle to find a nice fast car like what u want mate for insurance gro u want!!

honestly i was in ur position when lookin for a car! i was gonna get a loan etc but cudnt find nothin i cud insure were too young for fast cars mate

if you got amini cooper sport 500 (grour 7 insurance) look after it, 2 years down the line you can sell it for the same amount you bought it for

ive already tried to get a quote for the new mini cooper and 172 - way too much.

I have the money but just need to sort out some insurance. no im talking about the new shape clio, like the dynamique 1.6 engine... i would of thought that was reasonably priced group? anyone know?

i mean the old mini, last of the line x reg one, 500 were limited and have every extra you could get, they will only go up in price
