best insurance company in Uk with premium unde 500, me (18) insured under mums anem, me as names driver , 6 years no claims(protected) with all mods declared (body kit, 17s, lowerd, b'box, ICE, no engine mods maybe induction kit but not at mo) Third party fire and theft, as i wont want to make a claim for accidents because the premium would go up.

1.2 8v 1994 corsa, that cat1 alarm also fitted

not only that but while your insured as a named driver and go under your mums NCB, you wont gain any yourself, so when you do insure a car yourself, you will be starting from 0 years NCB.

Best advice, if you've just passed your test, get your Pass-Plus done, this will knock some off the insurance in your own name, plus most insurance companies also run a no-claims accelerator, where you get 1 years NCB if you have pass plus (is what I did)...

but insurance when I first started driving at 18 was £1100 Fully Comp on a 1.4 Corsa! This was nearly 5 years ago though!

You're an adult, be responcible for your own insurance, it will be more beneficial in the long run

Cost me more to insure my AX GT when I was 17 then it did to buy the car but im 23 now with 6years NCB and insurance isn't so much of a killer.
