Mate if that was ok then wouldn't we be chopping standard springs up rather than buying shorter ones?

I didn't know the police did random checks on your car and take off your front shocks, then use spring compressors to remove the springs just to see if they're cut

all i know that its dangerous because
the ends of springs are taperd so they sit snugly in the sring seats.
so when you jack it up they move and unseat.

and can be dangerous on the road for similar reason. go over a bump, speed bump whatever and the sring become unseated and then colapses because its sittin at an angle

personly i woulndt risk it for maybbe 2 spring thatd cost no more than £100

Pi springs are shite to begin with, chopping them is quite amusing i think

you may aswell get a sunstrip saying "Death Trap" across it

Try angle grinding that and getting it to seat properly

yeah mine have been cut at the back for bout 2 years...never had any problems....as long as ur fairly sensible about it it can be safe!!

only reason i chopped was that 60mm wasnt low enuff and coilovers are just stupid money for fully adjustables
