so u didnt know at all kurtis mate wat pecentage was in each window?? are they legal coz iam having mine dun 1c car is out looking sweet kurtis by way

Andy - no tints are legal, any tint film on the front windows is banned totally. I have been fined twice and im thinking about taking them off the front when i get my retrim. Heres the offical thing:

so why the hell kurt got them on his car now beats me wont it look weird with back tints dun and not fronts lots of cars on road from factory got them as standard which i do not get abt this law

because they look good i think, despite being told they r illegal and also being there when me and huw got fined.

Manufacturers do not use window tint FILM. The actual glass is tinted on new vehicles. Take for example my corsa C, my windows are factory tinted as stanard, but the actual glass is tinted and there was on film on the window.

Also, the factory tint on the windows lets 70% VLT through and therefore is perfectly legal and the windscreen lets through 75% VLT (i know this because the copper tested it)

what u think kev is it worth having tints like very light 1s in front and dark in back need advice on this mite ask welsh tinting abt this ??

u will have fines! dont say i didnt warn u! ive paid £75 on ones for my tints alone! and once for having my undercar LED's on! thas £105 in total, pisses u off after a while 2b honest. look amazing tho

your not allowed to have any tint on the front windows @ all..... it's illegal to have it done......

But if it's deemed as not a danger then it's ok dude. Limo tints are blatenly (sp?) banned, but only if they are being arses will they do you for light tinits.

facory tint is 70% anything below this is deemed as a danger.

rocky i have 35% tints light smoke they arnt that dark i never been fined only warned that was back home with kev but i dont drive the car all the time.
