Was hoping that if I knew what make of Turbo it was, I might find one on a scrapped car...

Maybe if the one off a Renault 5 Turbo would fit I could get one that way...

IT's a garrett's T2 unit you'd be after.
The you need a manifold for it,
Reduce the CR,
increase fuelling suitably,
Intercooler,
oilfeeds,
remote oil filter set up,
oil cooler,
got to say for the cost unless you#'re making a mad 300BHP engine then it's cheaper to use a 20XE or a C20LET if you want a turbo.

your looking at about £2500 grand for a 2l turbo
£1500 for the engine
£500 for the fitting kit
£500 labour
plus then you need brake and suspention upgrades.

then u need to have the back up money for insurance increase, its possible to turbocharge a 1200 but i suspect you just want it done so you can fit a dump valve for the noise, because if you wanted a massive power gain the turbocharging a 1.2 is pretty pointless

Also all the money you'd spend to get the 1.2 turbo to high power would be more expensive than fitting a c20let turbo unit from a cav/calibra

Yes i know, but as long as the car isnt needed for a while and you have the right equipment it can be done cheaper than 3k, well thats what i was pointing out anyways
