How hard is it to apply for loans??? i can apply for a online loan with Lloyds TSB buti doubt they would give me one. I work for family business and get paid cash in hand so have money to pay them back. However, i am not actually employed cos i only work about 2 days.

Also i have always had good credit , always paid my bills off in time So how hard is it to apply for a loan. If i can im thinking of getting around £9k

It's easy to apply for a loan, the only problem is assessing your credit rating - which only the lenders can do.

dont nessecarily (sp) go on you - eg, if your dad didnt pay something back, if u live in same house, this will affect your credit rating too

I really wouldnt recomend getting a loan unless you have a good credit rating though, cos you may be obliged to use a company like Ocean Finance or The Mortgage Lender - those shitty ones off the TV. If you work it out, you pay so much on the interest it really wasnt worth it in the first place... My opinion anyway...

Try the Auto trader website mate

Just look for any car and underneath it will have a box asking 'How much do you want to borrow' with the price of the car in..

Just change it to 9K and it will give you a massive list of companys with the lowest APR first.

Its fairly easy to get loans even if you're a bad risk - as Ed says, there are companies willing to do it at the right price.

So long as your place of residence has a good record and you actually do have some borrowing history then you should certainly be considered by a lender.

If it's for a car though, I'd get proper car finance. It's generally easier to get out of should the car be written off or not worth the outstanding balance. You don't have that luxury with a personal loan - it stays outstanding until you've paid it off.

I contacted the AA for a loan for a car I wanted on Tuesday night, got an instant decision over the phone, and the check arrived by Courier on wednesday night. AA is 6.6% apr, BTW. That was a 10.5k loan.
