Right they have gotten back to me people, heres the deal:-

how much does it effect fuel consumption?

I had an increase of 21bhp with mine so well worth the money. Only problem I had was it needed setting up properly with a Unichip.

ill be leaving it on standard management for a good 6-10 months, while funds grow for chips etc

Yes it works - but can be a little jerky to be honest, and the ECU light can come on and off a bit!!!
