Decent exhaust/filter, no cat, cams, headwork, powercap and new management and you might shade 175bhp on a healthy engine but you would be looking at around double your budget.

Im with you!! This is what i want. You can pick them up for around £300 2nd hand and have a good 170+bhp. If setup well maybe a bit more. Still have the option for cams, exhaust, head work etc.

no disrespect but c20xe is 155bhp standard approx, im talking adding 20bhp extra not 100, lol surely a performance zorst manifold/zorst/filter/cams/chip would give 20bhp if not more come on

firstly a 2.0 would respond better to tuning than say a 1.4 16v because the bigger the engine and more there is to start with the better

if it dont why do we choose to tune 1.4/1.6 16v's

u have to take into accont how much the engine ristricted with in the atandard form, like the 1.4 16v is ristricted alot with the inlet hence u gain power from it, does the exhaust system really restrict the 2.0lrs engine that much?also u need a unichip to gain power from those kinda mods really from what i can gather
