You'll need to get in the BIOS and make sure it recognises it, then it'll want fdisk'ing and formatting. I'm sure XP sorts something out for you though....?

If it's brand new, you'll have to fdisk it to create a partition, then format it...

Not sure if XP can do this for you automatically, but it's not difficult anyway
