Hiya,

Been having problems with my car......

The other day i pulled off from the lights quickly, when i changed into second and lifted the clutch my foot was off the pedal but it wsa as if my foot was still on it, i'm led to believe this is the clutch slipping? Also after this happened my car was a pig to get into any gear, it required lots of pushing.

Last night i was out driving it and the clutch didn't slip at all, although the biting point seems very high and short to me, and the car wouldn't go into any gear easy at all for abuot half an hour, the worst gear was 3rd, at one point i thought i was going to have to stop because it just wouldnt' go in.

Now, i don't know why its doing this, but abuot 9 months ago the car was invloved in an accident pushing both left wheels under the car, involved in the repaid wsa a new driveshaft as well as lots of other things, after the car was repaired it smelt badly of clutch from just normal driving, motorbodies told me that it was when the car was crashed the clutched had moved for a short space of time.

Sorry about the long thread but i want to know what's going on

Don't know mate. I think Corsa C's have Hydraulic clutches, therefore no cable

A clutch is a wearable part isn't it. So i doubt they would cover it, especially when it its modified, they'd say its been thrashed.

The repair would be under warranty, but i agree a clutch shoudlnt' wear out after 10k, but could do if you were using the car on tracks etc.

I'll take it to Vauxhall and tell them i'm having problems. See what the cock suckers say

the fact that it sometimes slips, sometimes its fine, sometimes wont go into gear - tells me its something to do with the clutch mechanism

The one thing which is contact with it, is that the biting point now feels really high and short, compared to what it used to be like (like what a fucked clutch is like)

For it to happen in first and second is common, i've driven loads of Corsa C's and alot do it in first and second. The thing which is worrying me most is the biting point on the clutch being very high, I dont seem to be able to drive it smoothly any more
