get some 17cm's. cut the old speaker out of the mount. Glue new 1 in. Perfect fit and u dont have to spend 15 quid on autoloeds adaptors.

im not glueing speakers in.

what size would my components have to be for direct replacement of the door speaker unit.

size, and mounting depth please.

U cant just put a speaker in without an adaptor as they need to be sealed around the edge, the speakers are about 5¼" themselves but not sure on depth.

so the standard ones are a funny fittment, and aftermarket ones would need an adaptor?

yes, they have their own mounting bracket, these can be used with aftermarkets if u cut the old 1 out.

so to replace with aftermarkets, going down the adapter route - what adapter do i need, and what size mid?

anyone know anything on mounting depth either?

my genuine speakers where screwed in with torx screws.i bought some 17cm speakers and they screwed straight in.

mines a Y reg, corsa C comfort, if that helps?

yeah front speakers are the same.but by the sounds of things they are sealed units now
