You took a corner at 70 I took a corner at 15 this morning when i was late for uni and almost lost it AND it was dry. I think my problem was that the tyres where cold though.

I think the main reason my car kicked out is because my car was quite full therefore very heavy!

Oh dear, what did you do? Just slide off over the curb and onto grass? Need a tow or what?

I took a corner decellerating and braking rather hard from 70mph once in my brother's old Cavalier 2.0 16v. Two kerbed alloys and mis-aligned tracking later!

I'm glad that boat had ABS!

Ahh... the things I used to do in my younger days...

No ABS. Don't know if that would help!

I was trying to find out the top speed of it on one empty and long stretch of road but I kind of ran out of road - d'oh!

I don't drive like a tit any more (I don't even drive any more - no car! )

How much is it gonna cost to sort out? Might be worth just scraping it and getting another Corsa and use a few bits off this one. Or you could buy my baby 106.

The wish-bone cost £150(done), Suspension £150-200(done) and sub-frame £180-300(trying to find) plus labour costs so total about 6-700! Shit

at least you have been lucky in terms of you have learned the lesson we all learn about the dealdy combination that is speed + rain = slow down, without injury to you or anyone else. Lots of people will slag you off for this (70, rain, passengers etc.) but Im sure you wont be doin it again in a hurry, if not for feeling such a dick but for the expense it has cost you. I hope you get it sorted and are back on the road soon, good luck. Chriso
