My new head unit, and yes, its Sony but the sound quality is really good. Plus the picture quality is better than the Alpine and Clarion screens that i've had, and works with my wheel controls!

i wasnt going to post, but im pretty annoyed,

Everything i have bought for my car is what i have payed for out of my own job (weekends at argos) and (web sites ages ago), except me wheels which i bought with a bond which i got from my grandmother.

I am now in a full time job so have been spending more on it recently,

I accept i got my car for alot cheaper then you all would of, (i only need to pay 80 quid a month for it) but i think what ur saying is pretty harsh,

My parents only bought me some small interior bits for my car for my birthday and also xmas, but thats it.

I dont even live with them.

The reason i made the comment about Sony is because the quality of their kit has been crap recently.

About 3 years ago they sold the best stuff, great amps and SQ headunits, which did cost alot but they were pure quality.

But now they see a market for cheaper head units, speakers and amps thats all they do.

They dont do any respectable ICE at present, just some things which are in the pipeline look half decent,

I will proberly get slated for saying it, but if anyone would like to take it up with people on here,

The headunit does look very very smart, i admit, and would look smart in the interior of my car,

however for the money you spent there is alot better you could buy...

People seem to think that i just buy the most expensive of everything to try and make a nice car, (jason)

and i think your the people who need to grow up if you think that

i could of spent alot more on my car going completely custom, and lost all the money, however i think i have been quite sensible in what i have bought,

At least when i sell my car and sell my parts off i will make more money then if i was to of went for a completely custom car and not being able to take it back to standard with ease.

And Sony is genuinely CRAP!!!!

Sorry, but for the money you could've had a better quality, more reliable and stronger built unit, e.g. Alpine.

sorry to keep going on,

but im lucky in the fact most of my money can go on my car,

i dont smoke,
i dont drink stupid amounts,
i only go out a couple of nights of week due to the fact i work til 9 everynight,
and also as i live with my grandmother my rents is not much at all,

so yes in that respect im lucky, but to say i dont pay for my stuff is a farce,

Just seems like you think your better than most of the people on here, when lets face it your not. We all like moddifiing thats why we come on here.

Going back to the whole growing up thing,

your able to tell me to grow up, when its you jason who post most of the shite in off day,

What you said sounded like you were taking the piss out of what Chris has just bought, not because you have heard of problems with them just sounded like you were taking the piss.

I have noticed you do this alot lately and I think you should accept people like different things they don't all want a car that looks almost standard.

and the comment about my posts in Offday has nothing to do with being childish, I like to have a laff with friends and go out and get pissed rather than spend my money on a 1.2 as I have my mind set on bigger and better

I got the Sony CDXMP80, one with puter try kinda thing for the CD, looks great, and sounds good too, no complaints with it at all, was tempted by the HU you got too, which looks v. nice.. but wanted a removable face

Yeah, guess it could be described as that

Got it mainly coz of the tray, my car is a pretty harsh ride, and Kenwood i had before kept skipping, so thought it'd help with that, AND it's mp3 too, which is brilliant
