lol, just drove back from college, quite a fast little drive, some of it dual carriage way, some of it through country roads and some through bumpy twisty back roads.

Anyway, my Seat belt tensioners go off whenever I start driving fast in my car (hold me tight in my seat which is cool!), but I got home and it had me pinned to my seat. I disconnected my head unit, took keys out, went to get out of the car and the bloody 'release mechanism in the seat belt release (push red button), wasn't working!!!

So there I am, sitting in my car, no music, engine off, pinned to my seat with no way of undo-ing the seat belt. Kids coming home from schools walking past - I'm trying to act cool... but as soon as they're gone I'm yanking at the bloody thing, smashing the red button - pushing as hard as I can and it still wouldn't release!

I started thinking 'shit, have I gotta sit in my car till my parents get home'

I tried to wriggle / climb out of it - but the seat belt tensioners had it so tight I couldn't get my leg and feet out I really didn't know what to do hehe.

Rang up my mum to laugh about the situation and as I spoke to her it started losening up a bit more. Still not releasing when I press the red seat belt release button, but I could stretch it and wriggle out

Now I've got a car, with a bloody seat belt plugged in and refusing to release??? how can I go to college tommorrow - its law to wear a seat belt, and what if we release it tonight and this same thing happens at college LOL!

anyone got any suggestions?

[update on page 2 - The bloody seat belt strikes again... ]

I'd have just reclined the seat right back and wriggled out, would have made it a lot easier

You can't use the car until its fixed, unless you want to drive from the passenger seat.

TBH I wouldn't want to to - I don't trust the belt is going to stay latched if you need it to!
