for colour coding my car, a place in Daventry called QVR

Do you think this price is a bit steep, I know they do quality work, as I have seen examples, let me know your views

Colour coding as follows; rear spoiler, rub strips x 4, wheel arches x 4, n/s sill, o/s sill, front bumper, tailgate lock plinth, and also a small repair to my o/s wing

This is on a standard Corsa C SXi, but also includes de-texturing of all textured parts aswell

Price is £632.25 for labour, and £172.38 for paint and materials, making a total of £804.63 exc VAT

What do you think?

That is way too much mate, i would charge under £300 for a normal colour code job. If you want me to i can do things like rub strips, rear spoiler etc and send them to you with the mirrors.

thats a bit steep but not that much!!!

All of you have said that you wouldn't pay that for a respray talk out of your arse, a really decent respray will cost £1500 at an absolute minimum

Seems very steep to me.

Was quoted for my old Corsa £200 to remove a small dint (that didnt break the paintwork), colour code the tops of the front and rear bumpers, scuttle panel, roof runners, door handles, mirrors, boot handle and all arches.

That was at a good place too.

The thing is, if your going for something like flip paint and shit then go straight to the best place you can find, but if your just getting some parts sprayed up the same colour as a standard colour on your car then you dont need someone who is amazing at their job.

Think about it, if you pay £400 for a respray, it looks decent and you know the bloke has done a decent job then great, or you go and pay £1500 for a full respray (taking same colour here not colour change) and you know you've got an A1 job but if you sat the 2 cars next to each other you wouldnt be able to tell which had £1500 spent and which had £400 spent.

Take it somewhere else mate, no need to take it to an amazing bodyshop just for colour coding.

QVR are really good at what they do.
Plus they probably wont just mask round the parts you want painted, they will probably blend the paint into the surrounding areas to guarnatee a perfect paint match.
My own opinion, too expensie... we do the same job, just as well with a 5 year paint warranty for about a 3rd of that price.
