this is the situation.in a month or so my new corsa c should be on these shores all the way from zaragoza in spain. its red with 16's from factory tints at back air con and sporty stuff. but its a diesel. now before you laugh and say tractor or taxi, these new diesels are pretty good. in fact they are very good. the one im having is a 1.3cdti. now they are quicker than a 1.2 even tho vx say theyre slower. i roadtested one at work and it seriously felt quicker than the new 1.4 engine(z14xep).

before its registered it goin in shop to have all black arches and sills etc colour coded, along with dtm cups and a full adjustable suspension kit.ive got an irmscher exhaust and various bits and bobs, but i still have the word diesel floatin around. its like no matter what i think its still there. diesel, diesel, diesel. to take the piss im havin a 'corsa turbo' badge on the back. well it is a turbo after all.

can some one please re-assure me iv ordered the right car??????

No I do not wish to experience the snail like performance...I would not consider ever getting a Vauxhall diesel.

td's are great, very easy to tune,
i thought the 1.3 cdti was 70 bhp
personally i would have got the 100 bhp cdti, then got the optional tuning box ( too keep the warrenty)

diesels can be tuned up well, newer diesels aint as loud as ppl think they are , mates got a golf gt tdi and that is mega quick for a diesel. its quiet and i wud have one of these over a petrol.

think diesel is steriotyped wi tractors ect lol.

think ur corsa shud be ok , strange u went 4 that tho , why not the 1.4?

i didnt think the 1.4 was as quick to be honest. when the turb kicks in you fly. it might not go past 100 but it gets there pretty quick

im assuming the do one for it, they used to on the 1.7 dti 16v sxi to raise power from 75-100 bhp.

yeah its defo only 70 bhp its a fiat engine. should be able to chip it to 90 odd bhp.

1.3 is a decent engine. not the most powerfull but it does the job. I;d have it over the 1.2.

p.s its a FIAT engine
