Just out of interest, as far as driveshafts go (only interested in the end which goes into the wheel hub), do the diameter vary depending on the model of the car? Mines a pre-97 1.4 8v btw...

I want to put the wheels back on the front of my car, but my dad threw the old shafts along with the interior as he's a bit dense at times, so I'm after some...

Don't need to be the complete shaft, just need it from the outer CV and also the securing nuts for attaching it to the hub. Just enough to hold the wheels on!

Any rough idea of how much, or anyone have a set they don't want no more or had a bit of a bump & have some which are scrap?

for the 2ltr it has to have bigger hubs and driveshafts so the ones that were thrown werent big enuff anyway

if u need just the hub to hold the wheel on to move the car then u could get em from a scrapppie

do as they hold the hubs onto the struts when all fastened up, so just need the outer part to secure it to put wheels on & move it

Or you mean the internally splined section that sits inside the hub carrier and meets the shaft? That assembly is the bit the brake disc mounts to?

the car's still sat on axle stands, has been now for about 7 months, rear handbrake has been on all that time, so has probably seized up aswell
