Last time I got my car rolling roaded with the corsasport lot, I only got 71 bhp and 87 lb ft of torque, this was due to the fact my Air flow meter was screwed.

Fixed the air flow meter and went again today, and got 81 bhp, and 95 lb/ft of torque - this is more like what I expected the first time round!

The only thing is the bloke that did it said my car was still running Lean! and he felt it would get even better if I could enrichen the mixture (perhaps because my new (old) air flow meter that I bought 2nd hand might also be on the way out), he also said something about squashing the fuel regulator in the fuel line, to stop fuel being sent back to the tank and richen up the mixture, but I didn't really understand.

Anyway, I'm happy with what I got for a 1.2

Here are the dyno sheets...

BEFORE

and AFTER

But considering people thought 1.2 16v Corsa B's were only 65 bhp, this kinda blows that whole idea out of the water...

oh well the guy ran it about 3 times coz the place was empty and that was the best it got.

I also agree the torque seemed high, but I'm not complaining.

yes I did, however - I believe when I did that my Air Flow Meter wasn't working and I didn't have full exhaust system so I was probably only running about 66 bhp

I ran a 19.2 though.

I definately feel it'd go down faster now though. Perhaps 18.2 or something... lol

rr readings dont mean sh1t. The only way you can compaire the power of 2 cars is using the same rollers in the same weather conditions, ie air density etc, things like this can affect the reading by quite a bit.

Crap, I got 82bhp with just a CAT back exhaust. Your car is pants.

I'll have a look at the dyno chart and take a pic of it tonight.

Everyone who ever see's me driving my Sxi claims it seems fast for a 1.2 - I've raced people before and they can't believe its only a 1.2, I can pretty much keep up with 1.4 16v corsa's and 1.6 gsi's only just get away from me (but they might all be F*cked).

The SW boys saw me blast past Nismo's Rx7 on the weekend To be fair he wasn't giving it anything at all though

I have seen 117 mph on the clocks too (down hill with passengers)

Rarely goes over 107 mph on the flat with just me in the car.

I'm not paying for another dyno run, even though the guy said I could get better if I sort out my running lean problem, I can't be bothered - unless I do some major mods or drop another engine in, I won't go on the dyno again.

Mine's only a cat back exhaust, and filter probably reduces power - I swear they made this one too small for the car (thinking they were 65bhp - when I floor it, it chokes like it can't get enough air most of the time).

What torque did you get though OJC? and what rpm was your peak power?

Just to point out that the time I got 82bhp I was with 2 other people with SXi's.

They got 76bhp (that was Rich S) and someone else off of here got 78bhp, they had filters but not exhaust system.

I remember racing C13RSA home from Southend one night and keeping with that.

Paul, I'll have a look when I get in at the rolling road graph as I kept it when I sold the car.

I'll take a pic of it.
