I have a boss amp (600 watt i think) but when i hooked it to my sub, it wouldnt work an all of the 4 channels so i could only run the sub at half rate if u get wot i mean? neway, therefore my amp is faulty!!! Marc

i have a top of the range JVC head unit. last years. someone ran it into speakers at a 2ohm load and the speaker amp went.

i plugged it into a test rig when the speaker thingy wasnt working and the amp outputs and aux in still work fine, but after a few minutes it went up smoking. i have looked at it and i thinkthe smoking was cos someone tryed to take off the heat sink and then idnt re-attach it.

can you sort it then?
