________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________I AINT PROMOTING THE MAG JUST SHOWING YOUS THE CONTEXT OF THREAD ON ANOTHER SITE FROM ONE OF THE GUYS INVOLVED IN THE MAG____________________________________________________________
____________________________________________________________

First issue out on Feb 6th

Priced £2.95

Available from all good newsagents (independants and multinationals) including WHSmith, Shell, Safeway etc. But NOT Asda.

The mag features no topless photos, no porn line adverts and no "pink or brown" styleee questions.

Featuring one girl and one bloke per month who are actively into modified cars (eg: not paid for Page3 burds who know not how to change a flat tyre), as previously stated they will not be topless etc.

Featuring cars from the length of Scotland from the Highlands to the Borders and all inbetween.

Covering all aspects of fast and modified cars and the associated scene (cruises, shows, events, trackdays, reviews, features, gadgets, previews, how to's, new products, news, road, track, rally, race, karting, F1 etc etc).

Initially launching with 150 pages which should hopefully grow as time goes on.

We are looking for *UNIQUE* cars to feature, that means not the kind of car you could see in town every day but something different that catches the eye for some reason or that has had some work done thats a bit out of the norm. This doesnt mean you need to have spent tens of thousands on the car. Definition of a car that is not unique : Corsa with a combat kit and 17s. Nothing wrong with them, but you can see hundreds of them in most major cities every day so why would someone pay to buy a magazine just to see more of the same.

We are also looking for both male and female cruisers/modifiers who would like to feature in the magazine. Nothing dodgy, nothing topless etc.

If you are interested in either getting your car or yourself involved then drop us a line at:

rikki@fastandmodified.com

Please note we are quite busy at present so it might be a few days before we reply.

Any more questions then add them here, ANY SPAM or any DIVERSION of the topic and the culprits will be banned as I dont have time to weed out the pish messages and its easier to find the user and click the DELETE key.

Cheers peeps,

Rikki

well if bex has anything to do with it , it will be full of snide remarks and bad attitude but......

ricki is fair and ive heard its not goin to be full of half naked birds and being scottish it will have useful info and contacts. hopefully it wont be full of over the top jap style heaps which look shit.

i'll certainly buy the first issue but if its 50% adds like the rest then it will be getting bumped.

Hi K17STY,

Well we hope you end up liking the magazine, and all comments from people will be taken on board. That is the way the mag started and will continue. When we asked people what they would like in a magazine they said more cars, less tits so we put in place a policy from the offset that there would be no topless photos or porn line adverts.

We are aiming at people who are interested in modified cars and the whole scene, not just being able to buy a cheap mag with some breasts because they cant reach the top shelf.

For the first issue we have been across the country getting features and shows covered from Elgin/Inverness to Dumfries/the Borders and ranging from a smooth Saxo (no wild over the top kits) to a Skyline GTS-T that's owners has spent over 4 years perfecting. As stated in the quote from my website we know we wont please everyone and some people will dislike some of the articles and features but its a new venture and we will take the time to listen to what people want from the mag.

If you have any questions or comments then drop me a line at : rikki@fastandmodified.com

Cheers,

Rikki

STFU your probably the typical bam that they would want to feature. having seen the kind of cars that go to the park and the type that are around scotland the very best cars are likely to go to maxpoo or fast shite that to a small circulation magazine.

as for stereotypes. go to a cruise or look at the people driving modified cars that are likely to get into the mag. 90% are fuckwits there are very few unned like bams around.

as for not liking it we will see. as I doubt buy any other modified car mag I can't see me wasting my cash on this. good luck to them making the magazine they obviously think there is a market for it but lets be honest you can't see it outsell ing the others can you.

if it's anything like falkirk cruise all they will be interested in is guys with big turbos, flamer kits and loads of bhp which i think none of us have unless you all dropped a skyline engine with 600+ bhp in your motor! it will probably be shite but i'll have a quick browse to see if i'm wrong !
