An Actuary is a job, a position, working in risk management etc not a qualification. I looked into Actuarial work but it was so boring. The firms I looked into applying to did the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries examinations so you might want to look that up.

Either way, its very competitive. Where did she do her degree? A-levels?

Look at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Ernst and Young and Deloitte. They were reccommended to me but like I say I have opted out!

I wouldnt mind it, good job, good money, but they do make you work for your salary

Same in any job, especially finance related. Thats why you need to get good qualifications and get into a good firm right from day one.

Got a degree in logistics, batcheors in statistics and a masters in one of those two as well, 1st degree in moscow and the other 2 in Norway

my sister and brother in law work for KPMG and are both chartered accountants earning in the region of 50k each a year! not bad as she is 28, shame she cant send me some cash!! LOL
