This advert keeps comin on my radio station about some girl dying in her car slowly after a crash coz the other guy had been drinkin. I admit to drinkin and drivin after a pint of carlin but appratnly this is legal. Anways, everytime i hear it i think "christ" at one point in time i will actually be dying, then i will be dead, and that will be it, all over. I know im living cos I got pizza and a bottle of stella here with a mint cally on the driverway, and my whole life ahead of me but sometimes I do think about when my time comes, and what happens after, etc. Ive got uplifting house music on after turning the radio off, christ I think i need anti-depressents, im 21 ! Live life to the full

Am i going mad ?

Everyone has a fear of dying, ppl ignore it and dont think it will happen to them.

I have life assurance and im 17 - this doesnt mean im pessimistic, it just means im prepaired.

Its gunna happen to you, one way or another, its just the time that you go which is the biggest worry for me, i mean do i wanna be the first one outta my friends and family to go so i dont have to deal with the pain, or the last person to go.

Death is a hard subject to talk about in any respect.

I deal with death everyday at work, and speaking to a 25 year old who'd just got married and lost her husband a couple of weeks after she was newly wed really makes u look at what you have, not what you havent got.

What's the point in being afraid to die??

Once you're dead, are you going to regret being deceased and not having a chance to do anything more in life? No... because you're DEAD.

I'd be afraid of becoming disabled in one way or another - living but not being able to lead a life I'm used to, but I wouldn't worry about dying.

Why be scared of dying, If you think about it, its the only thing in the world that is guaranteed to happen at one point in someones life. Enjoy what you have got, be nice to people, do what you can to help people in need, and make sure the people who you love know that you love them.

Bless
Mist.

my biggest fear isnt so much of dying itself, but if i end up having a family n all that, my biggest fear would be seeing my own children die before me

Well, heres my 5p's worth:

I was involved in a car accident when I was seven (Im 20 now) I was on my bike and was hit by a car at 40mph ish with left me with broken legs, pelvis, skull and left arm.

When I reached hospital the doctors lost me for a bit (not sure how long, obviously not enough time to go watch ER to figure out how to help me!) but in the end, they got me back and 6 months later I was wheeled out the hospital (wheelchair for 4 months then crutches for another year)

So technically Ive been dead. I was told by the doctors that I was basically fookin' lucky to be alive, so I promised myself Id have fun for the rest of my life as you could get hit by a bus tomorrow and thats that.

Basically (if you've been arsed to read it all) you could die tomorrow so live like its your last day and all that sh'te! Lifes too short to worry, so get out there and enjoy it!
