Any1 any ideas why my handbrake light is on 99% of the time??? and no the handbrake isnt on !!! im thinking dodgy switch maybe???

yeah its mostly when i thack it round roundabouts etc.....thought it was just a dodgy switch or something, never would have thought to check that!!!

usually low brake fluid
do that first but if stil does it then its low brake pads

Checked the fluid.....seems full!! Theres still plenty left on the pads also.........any other ideas???

i have no idea as those are the 2 most common

failing that it has to be a lose wire maybe

do a search for handbrake light i know its been asked about a few times u may find some diff advice

past few months light always came on............well thought it was only came on round corners too but was oil light
toped that up n it went away
try that, check ya dipstick

topped it up.....fcuking light is still on!!! Pads are fine as were only put on VERY recently.....have have a look for a sensor or switch near handbrake....cant find it!!! Im all out of ideas now dammit and this lil red light is really getting on my tits!!

this is still on dammit!!! what the feck is going on?? have checked and filled brake fluid, pads are fine, rear brake shoes are fine, handbrake sensor seems fine....really doin my head in now

does the ecu have any effect on the light, just a random thought but maybe resettin it may help

not really sure if that will help but electrics aint my strong point so dont think ill give that a whirl!! got a mate that wrks for vaux so ill give him a call....thanx anyway guys

cheers best get some on monday was woundering it was makeing funny noise when i brake aswell! and my car done a 180 turn last week! and ave almost crashed a few times!

do i just tell em make of car and they just give me some? thanks will halfords ave some cause i'm going down merry hill l8tr so can get some!
