this region doesnt need one person to make all the arrangements and ideas it needs everyone to pitch in and make it work. im sure we can arrange meets without a specific "leader"

if someone has an idea put it to the rest of the region and lets see how it develops from there

yorkshire is a big area and by havin one meet u cant please everyone when choosing a location. perhaps if we get lots of yorkshire regional meets goin then in the summer next year we can bring them all together and have one big one, perhaps a north one and include north east/west groups too

Kerry thats some of the Ideas I was thinking - Im not talking about a "leader" Im talking about getting a couple of regional organisers like the other regions....

In my opinion Yorkshire should have at lest two organisers, as as you said its a big area....

My idea was to have a meet every month and move it about... IE, one month in the North, Then South etc... etc... that way tryiing to keep everyone happy, as more or less everyone will be traveling the same distance.

there is nothin 1 2 or 3 organisers can do that we as a region cant do altogether

this region isnt busy enough at the moment to need anyone to organise it....

Im not saying we need someone now, but with a couple of people who the ideas get thrown and and they go out and sort it, that way theres less confussion..... meets shouldnt be happening on the same day as other meets etc....

Its the same as everything, if you have a couple of focal points to go to then things would probably work better....

The reson I said at least two people is because you need people that know certain parts of yorkshire well etc....

Its only a suggestion.

hows that goin to happen when we are postin in a forum for all to see

the point im tryin to make is........ joe bloggs gets an idea and posts about it in this forum....either other people agree, disagree or agree but add thier own input in ways they think it would work better

u dont need organisers to do that u need to find a region with enthusiasts

I meen meets in Yorkshire shouldnt be happening on the same day as each other.....not meets in general the idea would be that there would be ONE monthly meet that everyone would hopefully attend.

Also - whats the point of having organisers in other regions then

there isnt a point other than to make the region aware of any shows and to co ordinate with other organisers regarding that

e.g when i did the corsasport stand at donny south last year i arranged a meetin point for yorkshire peeps goin to travel down together and then a final meetin point with the south region organiser

Just an idea but wot about making little groups like 2 people run rotherham
2 sheffield etc.To get more interested locally then imerge them,only an idea wot u think?

if we all chipped in and organise everything between us, then i reckon all of Yorkshire can put on a pretty good meet! with a good turn out, if every1 sticks to what they say when asked if going or not!

well just reading this thread i can see both sides of the argument! being the west yorks organiser(vxlscc) you do quickly find out that you cannot please everybody in your region no matter what you do try and do for them,plus members will always let you down saying one thing but when it actually comes to it they change there mind!!! so i think kerry is right that all of the yorkshire members must pull togethor and sort things out on the board and at meets,but prehaps in time a couple of people could become a spokesperson for the region?
