Year ban? LMFAO i dont think so, and i bloody hope not, when i first got my NIP in the post a few of us did some research and for most forces anything above 96 in a 70 attracts a 2 week ban, 6 points and a fine. Although the length of the ban is at magistrates discretion, A whole year is like people who drink/drive, drive dangerously or do 140! surely?

It all depends on what the road conditions were and how busy it was.

Have a look on the governments site, cant remember the name of it, it tells you all the tolerances of speeding. example: between 11-20mph over the speed limit youll get such and such (fine and 6points etc) Between 21-30mph over the limit youll get...................

Might be time to join the club tho, ive been banned for the last 4months.

my mate went to court. 97 on m-way

he already had 3 points and a further 3 would have meant he lost his license (6points and out in first 2 yrs of driving)

went to court, came out 7 day ban, 150 fine no points! minted

cos to show how the legal system is a joke and likes to milk motorists, i mean there doesnt seem to be a standard upon which people are judged, looks like it varies between counties quite a bit.

I accept i was going to fast and i was wrong yadda yadda, but today i was going 75-80 on the same bit of carriage way and cars were flying past me. who goes 70 on a big wide lane fat carriage way?
