You should really use a calculator if adding is not your strong point
I only see a 7p difference, not 13p.

the two figures i quoted above come from petrol stations which are no more than 10miles apart

its absolutely shocking, i mean shell, esso, fina, etc. probaby all pay the same price for their fuels, yet still you see ridiculous price mark-ups depending on where you fill up!

But some of those stations are probably franchises and the owners can adjust the price according to local competition etc etc

if it saves a fiver a tank yes it does matter where you fill up!

if the government raised the speed limits then i guarantee you the average vehicular speed would increase higher than the limit (everyone cruises at 80mph on the motorway, so what if 80 was the limit? cruise at 90mph?) and as a direct result of this there would be more road traffic accidents.

no its not justified at all. Petrol as a whole in the UK is one big money making government farce. As for speed limits, i think motorway limits should be raised to 80mph.

trust me, raising any speed limits would cause problems, its the penalty system for speeding that needs addressing IMO
