know how long it takes to convert a DivX file to MPEG2 ???

I'm doing it on my other system with 384 PC-133 RAM and an Athlon 750 MHz.

It's been running now for about 3 hours and only done 7% It looks like it gonna be there for days It's a good job i've got more than on system

I'm trying to convert a DivX file into a DVD if no-one has worked that bit out

it takes my pc about an hour. my pc is a 2.1G with 1 GB of RAM. It will take a while if your using a P133.

But 3 hours for 7 % sounds wrong. My mate does it and he's got a similiar spec. But it depends how big the file is.

Not it's an Athlon 750 with PC-133 RAM. Anyways, i've worked it out that it's gonna take 40 hours to do. It's a 700 MB file it's working on that should be converted into 4.7 GB but we'll know if its worked in around 32 hours or so

I don't have enough space on my main syatem

it wont convert it to 4.7gb more like 1.2gb. on my old pc which was p3 650mhz 128mb ram it took about 6 hours for a complete movie

me thinks u shud get a new dvd player
mine can pay divx
can put multiple divx on a dvd to play too
