If my exhaust is blowing - will my car be underpowered more than normal?

My exhaust is currently blowing like its eaten a load of baked beans (fart noise) - and I'm wondering whether this will reduce the amount of power my car will put out, I'm going on the rollers on saturday and I'm curious as what effect it'll have.

thanks,

Paul J

i heard the NA engines dont respond well to blowing exhausts (lack of back pressure)

However, turbo cars actually respond well to it.

Vibs will come along in a min and tell ya

dont think anycar really likes a blowing exhaust, when my exhaust manifold gasket went, i could tell the difference in power delivery, and the awful sound it made, but it was nothing major really, but it did drink more fuel!
