Are Corsa's complete shit?

Just got an SRi 1 month ago.
Had it a day and it needs a new cambelt. Only had one in June.
£280 from Vauxhall.

Woke up 3 days ago and found a slash in my tyre. £67

Now the fcukin' thing cuts out.

Problem

Driving normal.
Ignition lights come on.
Switch engine back on.
ECU light is on for a couple of seconds.
Sometimes revs drop to 600 when idling.

Please help chaps. I don't want another £200 repair bill.

hardly the cars fault that it had a slash in the tyre, and the cambelt may not have been changed in June, even though i twent in for one....

and your last problem might be suimin to do with idle control valve - seen it mentioned alot on here with the ecotecs

FCUK that.
Might get the fault code read and then the problem repaired.
Can't be much. Still goes like stink, just stalls when I come to a stop.

This might sound odd but my battery is not strapped down. It just slides about on the tray. Do corsas have holders to secure the battery?

just a thought.

Wasn't your cambelt guaranteed for 12 months/x miles after it was done by Vauxhall?

The one in June was done by some garage before I had the car. The newer one has a warranty.

Finally bit the bullet. Ain't gonna fcuk with the ICV. Just going to check Earth's / clamp battery and book it into Vauxhall. AGAIN.

Many thanks for your help guys but I don't feel confident enough to take my engine apart. My bad?
