I have a Sony 690 md head unit in my corsa c, with a pc9-106 remote adapter. Anyway, bought another pc9-106 (old one was a bit knackered), fitted it, and the fuse blew. Put another fuse in, blew that too.

Went to an ice shop, and the guy said i should have put in a larger fuse (22amp) to cope with my 'higher' powered head unit.

Is this right, or would it knacker the electrics?

It takes a 5amp fuse as standard, I have a spare 7.5 amp fuse - would this work?

Any ideas?
