I love broadband - was so gutted it took so long for my area to get changed over...

hear a song? but not sure whether you would want to buy it, download it...

see a game advertised? but not sure whether you would want to buy it, download it...

see a advert for a movie? think it sounds alright but will probably be predictable dross and you really can't be bothered to waste your money at the cinema to see it - ... download it

Best thing is, coz ADSL is on all the time, you can download when your not using the pc - so even when your sleeping it can be downloading another film or something.

The thing is, at the moment no one's really getting in trouble for doing this - but I imagine in the very near future they will be clamping down on this sort of thing over here so enjoy it while it lasts, its something to tell your kids

"I remember in my day, we had none of these laws or speed limits on our internet connection - we could download anything we wanted and for free... not like now adays when you'll be hung for downloading porn "

I originally left my connection downloading off of bit torrent 24/7, but then I ran out of hard drive space and decided to be a bit more conservative with my downloads.

The thing is - people claim it is damaging the media industries.

However, a lot of the things that people download - they wouldn't of paid for anyway, they would of just not bought it and missed out.

Infact a lot of people will download a album and go 'hmm that was actually quite good - now I'll go and buy it so I can have the actual packaging etc and play it in the car (if they don't have a cd burner)...'

Ok, so there are some things I would buy that I've downloaded - but to be honest I'm so skint, I doubt I would of spent much at all. Most of the stuff I download I was just curious about.

Anyway, I still can't see them letting it continue as it is piracy - but on such a large global scale that they can't put millions and millions of people in prison

too right broardband is cool!

ive had it for bout 2 years now, and i can honestly saw i havent bought a singe piece of software or music since! its crazy how easy it is to get hold of stuff from the right places, first there was napster, then i swithced to winmx, then kazaa, but sadly kazza was a killer to my old pc so i had to get a new one! now i get anything i want off bit torrent, games, apps, albums, music videos, DVDs. i probably have £1000s of software/music on my pc and not a penny spent! only recently i have been using bit torrent and it is by fat the best filesharing method, releases are put out quickly and proffessionally, and there is help there if needed for installation etc. need for speed undergorund is a prime example, ive had it for over a week now, its not out in hte shops till next friday?! and it works like the full version! il start a download at night, leave my pc on, and in the morning its there!

ur right tho, io cant see it lasting, but then again, there is always gona be another way to download files from the internet, whatever hte government/police do!
