The whole car reminds me of a '93 Omega. Not something I'd want to spend 28k on. It looks well on tilt in silver though.....

all that power and 0-60 in over 6 seconds?! Pfff give me an Evo 8 or something over that anyday. Nice try though, sounds fun but could do with being a little quicker in acceleration could it not?

That is because it is based on a Omega Shell

Not going to cost quite that much.

It has more power tho. It offers somthing different to things like the EVO and IMPREZA. They are playsation, and this is OLD SKOOL! if you know what I mean.

Also those interior pics further up the thread are old. Its been re-vamped since then.

You are right! This car is arse out action with smoke on every corner, with the sound of a thunderous powerful engine!!

Not high tuned 2.0 screaming

cool aye, there is already a 4WD on its way. There has always been a huge big bore V8 following here in Oz, hence the V8 supercar series.

BTW for those that are interested, the motor in the Monaro is the Chevrolet LS1, which is the superseded corvette motor. 300kw HSV models have been tweaked by the Calloway tuning house

Jesus christ, some of you lot need to open your eyes a bit more. This is a V8 musclecar through and through, its damn heavy, and im suprised it gets 60 that quickly! Once its rolling from 40 onwards, not much is gonna catch it, thats the true mark of a great car, not 0 to fucking 60. Unfortunately, we are only getting the bog standard 344bhp Monaro, whilst we can only dream of the Monaro HSV with 500+bhp.

hehehe those are the 'everyday' cars. you'd be lucky NOT to see a 5.7 at any given set of lights

The big daddy of em all would have to be the Monaro 427... thats right... 427 cubic inches... 7 glorious litres of muscle car motor. All stuffed into a race prepped chassis, so basically a road rego'd race car.

All the Commodores/Monaros are big suckers (bout bmw 7ser big) and weigh alot but once they find traction n get going they seriously haul ass.

I was wondering how long that question would take OFcorsa

And Paul, shell, lights are similar enough, back lights, bumpers, everything. Not what you'd call a radical departure.
