Yeah it's not really a job for a mechanic it's more a job for an electronic engineer

I've been in some pretty nice cars but I do like the whole "people think it's a 1.2" thing with mine

Accord will be cheaper... group 17/18 iirc.

Watch out for the gear boxes... the syncromesh on 5th goes, should've been fixed by Honda, but many aren't (problems after warranty)... to check rev all the way to the read line in 2nd, then select 5th, if it crunches on the way in, then it's on it's way out.

However, there are few tuning and modding parts for it, which IMO is a good thing, as they tend not to get riced out. KW make some nice coilovers

ITR is group 18, I doubt there is a lot in it to be honest..

The ATR has more torque, due to the H22a.

The ITR is more tunable thou .. The Americans didnt get the ATR, but they did the ITR, so loads of bits available!

The ATR isnt as quick as the ITR in my experience, thou is still great handling, and is a 'proper' type R, not like the UK CTR which hasnt got an LSD..

Id go for the ITR out of the two, better mpg when your not thrashing it, more tunability, still practical. (prob more so than accord, the accord hasnt got a folding rear seat)..

I'd rather have a mondeo ST220. far more torque and more of a relaxed drive rather than screeming the enigne to get any where
