On the speedo

A 2.0 would still beat a 106 though. You just need to work on the maths and the physics.

Theres no substitue for cubic inches

But lets not get into that argument again

Daimo, Steve's is not standard... you do not know what gti's put out standard as they vary... Daimo... it hits 16 when it reads 100... I cant see it being much out

I know 106 powers vary as standard. And it would be damn fast if a na 1.6 16v with minimal mods can hit 100mph in 16 seconds

NEver said a 106 wouldn't beat a corsa round the twisties. But in reality, how many races do you have down country lanes. Most is motorway or out of town roads.

Video I have here is 16 seconds long and hits just around the 97-98 mark.. so say 17-18 seconds to 100... ive also been on the road it was done on and was level.

You underestimate 140bhp in a 106 Daimo

Dude, i sorted the Corsa Vs Saxo day, i've seen some of the quickest saxos (same engine) in the country and some in pretty standard spec, so i know exactly how fast they go

I know VTS's and GTi's than have ran low 15's with just an exhaust

Also, most 15" rimmed 2.0 corsas are hitting the 1/4 mile in 14.6/14.7 and only just hit 100mph in 17 seconds, and steves is only doing a 15.1, and it will loose out moreso up to 100mph than a 2.0 corsa due to the lack of cc and torque (but gains on weight).

It will not hit 100mph in 17-18 seconds. Theres no way your going to change my mind so we'll just have to agree to dis-agree

As have i, but up to 100mph it'll loose out.

Same engines yes, same power output, pretty much, only certain models came out with around 130bhp.

Dont forget, i've been doing cars for like 5 years so i do know stuff (even if some dont like to think so). So as i say, we will have to agree to disagree unless your just wanting to continue the disagreement.

Well as i say, how many timed 2.0 you actually seen go up the strip? I must have seen about 10+, all with those times (Ask sinkyboy for 1 on this site).

But then of course, i dont know anything about corsas
