Yep Halfords head office is in Redditch, though a different location to the retail store.

never take your car to halfords autocentre. they are con artists.
my mother took her car there for an mot,her 3 year old micra. told her it had failed on a few things, one being BOTH sides front calipers leaking? had a look under both bone dry, fluid level fine. took it somewhere else and had it checked and there was sod all wrong with them. had her so convinced she still thought she needed them changing at the other garage just in case

I had the clutch changed in my 1.6 'B' Sport at A1 Clutch Centre in Tipton West Midlands, had a call to say the linkage needed replacing because it was badly worn, told them to leave it as I had no trouble finding any of the gears, anyway picked the car up, drove down the road had trouble engaging 3rd, took it back and they said well we told you the linkage was faulty and quoted £90 + vat to do it, told them it was perfect before they had it, i'll do it myself.

Halfords auto centre are going to be on watchdog next week. May be worth a watch
