 | 84.9p I remember it cos it was right at the time the supermarkets started the price war.

Hovered around 90p forever though, then shot up

 | I remember back in 07, I was filling my Corsa up, it wasn't empty so it took about £34 and when I went in, the guy on the till was joking how he didn't think you could get that much in them, now the Combo, which I think has the same size tank, can take £70+ if I ignore the light for a while

 | How the hell can you remember how much fuel was so many years ago

I can't even remember how much it was when I passed and it was only last year! Infact, I don't even know how much I'm paying today!

 | I can't remember how much but it used to cost me about £28 to fill the tank on my Nova when I passed in 2000.

The day of the fuel strikes I had just filled it to the brim for the first time ever and I stuck it straight into a wall that night

 | My Mum and Dad gave me £5 a week to take me and my sister to school; its only now I realise I was being ripped off, the bus was £1 a day so £10 a week for the two of us. Wankers - going to ask them for back pay.

Used to charge everyone a £1 to go to Mcd's at lunchtime too

 | Wish it was 50p a litre again, would only cost around £22 to fill up a corsa.
